June was a busy, tasty month full of great food and drinks. Here are some of my favorites.

Before seeing a movie at The Neon, my boyfriend, sister, and I had dinner and drinks at The Silos.

From Indigo, I got the Mission Burrito with tofu and my boyfriend got the Mushroom Carnitas Tacos (adding tofu).

From Nood Bar, my sister got the Chicken Ramen.

Checking out Three Birds was like a dream come true. It took a while for the renovation to be completed and I definitely drove by here and there to see how it was going.

The food is fantastic! I had the White Bean Hummus and Cavatappi Cruda.

The first time I visited, I had the Pink Noise cocktail and loved how light it was. The second time, I tried the Friesling and it was also light but even more refreshing because it’s a frozen wine drink.

My go-to meal at Wheat Penny is always perfect and this visit was no exception. Cauliflower Steak with Yukon potatoes and green beans is such a great way to get your veggies for the day.

We actually started the meal with a plate of zucchini and artichokes, so it was a veggie feast.

I had the chance to revisit Bistecca during a media event to tour Hotel Ardent only this time the Flywheel Negroni machine was working and I got to see it in action. Check it out on Instagram or TikTok.

It was delicious and I had a great time enjoying this beautiful restaurant again.

And if you’re a fan of behind-the-scenes stories: I have a hard time parting with pieces in my wardrobe – I treat it more like a curated collection than a functional resource. I buy a lot of things second hand so while I have only had something for 10 years, its first life could have been 10 years or more, too. Case in point, at this event, I carried a purse that I didn’t realize was completely disintegrating on my shoulder the entire time (you can see it above)! I sat down after the tour and realized I was covered in brown vinyl purse dust (my left shoulder – you can kind of see it here). I was lucky the strap clipped on and off so I could just remove the strap and carry it like an oversized clutch but it was an absolute mess. It might be time to start purging some things from my closet…

Vegan Risotto at The Foundry

I hadn’t been to The Foundry since it opened in 2023, but once I saw that they have a Vegan Risotto, I decided it was definitely time to revisit.

It was very good and I’m so glad they offer a vegan option!

My boyfriend got the Loaded Potato pizza without bacon and loved it.

I also tried their Melon Tide cocktail and it really was like summer in a glass.

Classic Burger & Sangria at Crooked Handle Brewing Co.

I had my first visit to Crooked Handle Brewing Co. in Springboro and it was so good! I ordered the Classic burger with their Beyond patty and no cheese. It was exactly the right thing for the rainy summer day we had that day.

I also can’t believe how amazing their sangria is – it’s perfect! I will definitely be ordering this again.
