
May was a wild one – so much so, I was surprised I only really captured this handful of meals and drinks.
Salad from Gather

I am calling this a breakfast salad because I’ve never had a salad with granola before. It was definitely interesting and I appreciated it could be made vegan with vegan feta. It was the perfect lunch on a hot day, especially with Gather’s tasty iced tea.
Pretzels from The Garden Grille & Bar

The pretzels and mustard appetizer at The Garden Grille & Bar inside Hilton Garden Inn was so great. I love when the horseradish goes straight to your brain. This and a glass of rosé was the perfect snack to go with a drink between walking around downtown.

My friends got the fried avocado appetizer and really liked it!

Dinner at Sueño

There were a lot of shared plates that night at Sueño like guacamole and sikil p’ak but I specially ordered the beets for me. They were roast-y and delicious!

There were also a few plates of papas – they are always the best and I hope they never leave the menu. I just make sure to pick the ones out that don’t have any cheese on them.

Cocktail from Tender Mercy

It’s so hard to pick a cocktail at Tender Mercy – you know you should probably only have one because they’re strong so the choice becomes even more important. I decided on Sorry You Feel That Way featuring mezcal, suze, amaretto, ginger syrup, lime, and bubbles and it was perfect.
