Girl About Dayton

My name is Lauren Rinehart and I’ve lived in the Dayton area my whole life. I grew up mostly in Vandalia, which is a suburb north of Dayton. Back in the day, and especially in the suburbs, it was pretty common to hear people complain that there’s nothing to do in Dayton. I started my blog, Girl About Dayton, in 2011 to show people all the fun things I found to do around town. After a few years, Dayton experienced a revitalization and thankfully you never hear anyone say there’s nothing to do here anymore.

In 2015, my blog was attacked by hackers and I didn’t have the skills to really handle that effectively. I also had a lot going on in my life within a few years of that and while I maintained my social accounts, I let go of the idea that I would restart my blog because it was too many steps for me to process.

Now that life is calm and quiet, I thought about restarting the Girl About Dayton blog and I’m thrilled to be back sharing the restaurants, shops, shows, products, salons, spas, and events I love in the Dayton area.
