Looking back at everything I did this month makes me wonder how I did it – I had to curate this list so much to make it manageable. August will need to slow down…

Tasting in Color Painting Class at Joui

Painting class viewed through a decorative wall feature

This painting class at Joui was absolutely the best way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I love getting creative in such a beautiful place. Read all about it here.

Paintings on easels

Dragon’s Game & Celtic Festival

Dragons stadium after a win

My amazing friends had some extra tickets to their suite for a Dragon’s game and it was a lot of fun watching the Dragon’s win, as always (at least all the games I’ve been to they seem to win!). And for a fun bonus, we walked out of the game and right into the Celtic Festival.

Dayton Salsa Project at The Hidden Gem

People dancing to a full band on stage at Hidden Gem

I always have a great time listening the the Dayton Salsa Project and watching the dancers tear up the dance floor at The Hidden Gem. We even all got up and danced during one of the songs, too (and no one got hurt!). Read about past dances here.

Holistic Facial at Aesthetics by Tara

Aesthetics by Tara suite

My experience getting a facial with Jamie of Aesthetics by Tara was amazing and so relaxing. I had the best time and my skin looked visibly smoother for well over a week afterward. Read all about it here.

So Much Ski-ball at DK Effect

Me at DK Effect

I didn’t get any high score or anything, but I held my own playing lots of ski-ball and a ton of other games with my friends at DK Effect for my friend’s birthday.

A row of video games at DK Effect

The photos don’t have a 90s filter – that’s just the horrible air quality we had that day.

Check out my list of arcade and gaming bars in Dayton.

Date Night at Dayton Art Institute

When I heard about this incredible $5 deal for after 5 on some Thursdays at Dayton Art Institute, I immediately put the next one on my calendar. It was a really great way to spend the evening. Read all about it here.

Art gallery at DAI

I do a lot of creative output for my work and also my hobbies, so I’m trying to make it a point to refill my inspiration here and there. Reading, art, dance, and theatre are all great ways to recharge creative batteries – and luckily we have so much of these things in Dayton.

Roadtrip to Lexington

Me at HDS mural

Harry Dean Stanton is only going to turn 100 once, so we had to make the trek to Lexington for Harry Dean Stanton Fest this year. We always have the best time here, take a look at all the places we found.

While I recover from this busy month (I had to halve this article, no joke!), check out what I got up to in June.
