October was delicious! And had a lot of cauliflower. Here are my favorite meals, snacks, and drinks from the month.
Cocktails at Good Impressions

I had the best time at Good Impressions (read all about it here). It’s definitely an experience – they even gave me bubbles to add to the ambiance of one of their cocktails, Now You Smell It, Now You Don’t. I highly recommend a visit here.
Old Scratch’s 9th Anniversary

I decided to revisit a classic from Old Scratch to commemorate their 9 years in Dayton. The roasted cauliflower is a favorite (and vegan – even the sauce!).
Celebrating National Pasta Month at Bistecca

Bistecca invited me and other Dayton content people to share a table and sample some of their gorgeous pasta dishes.

I took lots of photos (but had to stick with a vegan menu item – the risotto made vegan – not pictured here but you can see it in this article).

I’d love for a vegan pasta dish in the future – I think changes are on the way so I’ll keep an eye out!
Cocktail at Tender Mercy

Lately at Tender Mercy, I’ve always been able to find a delicious, sparkling cocktail (my favorite). This one was A Little Shoulder Shimmy and it was delightful.

Vegan Macho Nachos Dip at Trolley Stop

I am devastated that the photo didn’t turn out (or maybe it’s an action shot!) but I was simply not waiting to dig into this delicious appetizer at Trolley Stop. They make a gooey mess of a black bean and cashew cheese meltiness and a tray of crispy tortilla chips and it’s VERY hard to stop once you start eating this. I can’t wait to get it again!
Trying Mudlick Tap House’s New Location

On the way home from an event, we decided to stop in at Mudlick’s new location in Uptown Centerville. My boyfriend ordered the buffalo cauliflower and I ordered the cauliflower steak and it was delicious! This location is very different than their downtown Dayton space but still very pretty and familiar.

Thank you for reading! It’s been a whole year now of documenting my favorite stops at Dayton restaurants and bars.

See a year ago. See what I ate this past September.
