August was a busy month but I don’t have a ton of restaurants to show for it somehow. Here are the highlights!
The Garden Grille at Hilton Garden Inn

The Garden Grille & Bar isn’t on everyone’s radar yet I think because it’s not on the ground floor – it’s accessible by the elevator to the second floor. It’s a great little bar and restaurant for a relaxed meal.

This time I skipped my usual Beyond burger and went with everything that comes with the salmon, just minus the salmon. It was exactly the sort of thing I was in the mood for.
Dinner at Amar India Restaurant North

I had a great time having dinner with family at Amar’s Vandalia location on Miller Lane. The food was great and the wallpaper is really interesting – sort of like a photo background. I had the dal tadka and loved it! I’m looking at their website now and not seeing it on the menu, so it might be something you can only order at the Vandalia location.
Solo Date at The Silos’ Fête
One day I was hungry and on my own so I stopped in at The Silos for a mocktail and chickpea curry at Fête.

While I was filming my clips and taking a few photos, an older gentleman asked why all us young people take photos of our food and whether I’m going to use the images for anything. I said I have social channels and a blog promoting local businesses in Dayton but unfortunately that did absolutely nothing to help clear things up. Sorry to my fellow “young” people for not stating our case better!
A Night Out on the The Foundry Rooftop

During my amazing overnight stay at AC Hotel Dayton, we spent the evening on The Foundry Rooftop, eating veg meals, sipping cocktails, and taking in the gorgeous view. Read more about it here.
