Gorgeous summer days are perfect for sipping cocktails on a rooftop overlooking the city. Try these rooftop restaurants in Dayton and beyond for the best summer views.
The Dayton Beer Company
This rooftop patio area is designed to be beautiful and fun with different seating areas, a designated bar, and a beautiful view of downtown Dayton. Plus, The Dayton Beer Company makes delicious craft beer and has a menu of familiar meals and snacks.
The Foundry
With a view of the Dragons’ Day Air Ball Park, The Foundry has the perfect open air bar in combination with a beautiful rooftop patio area to take in the sights of downtown Dayton. The cocktails are creative, sparkly, and pair with their elevated bar bites and wood-fired pizzas.
Oregon Express
The upstairs patio area of OE offers an amazing view of downtown Dayton from the Oregon District. Order pizzas, salads, burgers, and more while you gaze at Dayton’s skyline.
Coming Soon: The Mayflower
Troy has long been a fun historic downtown destination to explore for daytime window shopping, but lately their nightlife options have expanded to include so many unique places. A.M. Scott Distillery recently opened The Mayflower, a renovated 1920s movie theatre in the heart of downtown Troy. As I understand it, they are working on developing a rooftop bar with updates to come. Some things to note (because they are atypical for Dayton-area bars and restaurants): Reservations are required, reservations are set at a firm 90-minute time limit, and there’s a dress code.
Rooftop Bars in Dayton
Maybe these are more like balcony bars? While not exactly on a roof, these bars have some seating above the ground floor.
Next Door Bar
Next Door Bar’s upstairs balcony offers a fun view of the Oregon District and is perfect for sipping a cocktail while people watching.
Dublin Pub
Take your Guinness and grab a seat overlooking the Oregon District at Dublin Pub.
I’ll keep an eye out for more rooftop (and upper balcony) bars and restaurants in the Dayton area and beyond and update this article. Do you know of any I missed? Let me know!
