Ever since AC Hotel Dayton opened across from Day Air Ballpark, we’ve been eagerly awaiting the opening of their rooftop bar and restaurant, The Foundry. Now that it’s open, here’s a look inside (and out!).
What to Know
Before you go, make reservations. They are pretty strict about not letting anyone up to the sixth floor without them.
Parking at The Foundry is pretty simple: You can park in the hotel’s parking lot just as long as you get a parking pass at the desk or with the attendant for $10. Otherwise, there’s plenty of street parking (unless the Dragons are in town, of course).
There’s a separate elevator accessible to the side of the main entrance to the hotel to go up to The Foundry without walking through the lobby.
The Food & Drinks
The Bar Snacks were delicious and the perfect complement to their tasty cocktails. The menu doesn’t have much in the way of vegan fare at the moment, but I have my fingers crossed they will add some options down the line.
The cocktails are magic. I ordered the Purple Sky and not only was it very purple, it was also sparkly with edible glitter. I can’t wait to go back and try more of these magic potions.
The Place
The indoor side is dark and industrial with some tables, booths, and bar seating. The outside has access to the bar as well as plenty of tables and sitting areas to take in the amazing view of the ballpark.
Check out their website for menus, hours, and to make reservations.
