The North Arcade is revived, renovated, and ready to welcome visitors. This gorgeous section of the Dayton Arcade featuring shops, snacks, and services is now open to the public for regular hours.
The Place

The Dayton Arcade was built in the late 1800s and housed all kinds of shops and restaurants. Today, it’s in many ways doing the exact same thing – there are plenty of restaurants, a Hilton Garden Inn hotel, and now, shops are open in the North Arcade.
Read these three things I learned on a tour of the Dayton Arcade.
The Shops

Here’s what’s open now:
- Luke’s Custom Cakes – locally beloved custom desserts and confections based in Hamilton, Ohio
- Smales Pretzel Bakery – a Dayton tradition bringing hand-twisted pretzels to the Arcade (this is more of a return for Smales – they were there back in the early days of the Arcade and now they’re back!)
- Pink Moon Goods, Too – sustainable, artisan, and lifestyle retail – Riley Street Merchants can be found here as well as Sugar Camp bandanas
- Maria’s at the Market – local comfort foods and specialty regional items
- Arcade Events – event design showroom
What’s coming soon:

- Invoke – restaurant featuring fresh and flavorful favorites, currently at 2nd Street Market
- Tiffany’s on Third – boutique dry bar providing chic, high-end beauty services – I have wanted a blow out bar in Dayton for probably 15 years now and I can’t wait for this place to open!
- Road Runner Espresso Bar – opening this summer, Road Runner will serve coffee and espresso drinks
- Willow Rust – custom furniture and decor maker specializing in gorgeous wood creations
