I absolutely love revisiting Yellow Springs, especially for an overnight stay. My friends weren’t able to use expiring gift certificates to stay at Grinnell Mill, and they were so nice to offer them to us. It was an incredible time and I would love to go back!
The Mill

Grinnell Mill dates back to 1821 and is sometimes open for visitors to check out the old equipment and learn about its history.

Other times it’s a bed and breakfast, offering a great place to enjoy some peace and quiet in Glen Helen.
The Room & Shared Spaces
Our room was the 1811 room, which has a private bathroom, comfy bed, and a TV – everything we needed. It’s one of two rooms on the second floor accessible by a staircase.

The kitchen is a shared space and has all the glassware and dishes you’d need as well as access to a fridge/freezer and plenty of breakfast options like cereal, yogurt, and bagels.

There’s also a living area on the main floor and one room you can reserve.

The patio is nice for enjoying the trees and the breeze – plus you can see the old water wheel.

The Town
Yellow Springs is perfect for finding lots of things to do. They have great restaurants, bars, and shops.

We ate at Winds Cafe, shopped all around town, went to a wine tasting with live jazz music at Emporium Wines, had coffee at Dino’s Cappuccino’s, and breakfast at Sunrise Cafe. We woke up to a little thunderstorm in a forest. It was just a perfect night away.
