Psst…Sneak a Peek Inside Whisperz Speakeasy

If you’re looking for a unique speakeasy experience in Dayton, Whisperz Speakeasy is the perfect spot. Make sure you know the password and enter through the secret entrance for a fantastic evening of cocktails and music.

The Place

Located in West Carrollton next to Miami Valley Sports Bar, Whisperz can be hard to spot. The awning is black with black lettering, but in the right light, you can make it out.

Inside, you’re greeted by a host who will ask you for the password. Once you say it, they trigger a wall to open up so you can step inside the speakeasy.

There are some couches, comfy chairs, cocktail tables, and a full bar to sit and enjoy the band.

The decor is decadent with a nod to 1920s opulence.

The Drinks

Even though the lighting is dim, you’ll be able to read the glowing menus that light up when you open them.

The cocktail list features several classics as well as Whisperz’s twist on several favorites.

I tried the Whisperz 75 and it was tart, fresh, and delicious.

The Entertainment

Whisperz features several live bands. When I went, the band was playing songs straight out of the jazz era.

Before you go, make sure you know the password.

There is a dress code, but it’s pretty straight forward. No ripped jeans or t-shirts with words, etc. Want to sport your sneakers? Head next door for Miami Valley Sports Bar – it’s owned by the same people and they have a more relaxed environment, great drinks, and lots of games.
