May Dayton Shopping Finds

Much like last year, May was a very shoppy month (just without the tour!). Here are my finds!

Gift Shopping at Maraluna

One of my favorite places to find gifts is Maraluna. I had a ton of gift shopping to do so I stopped in one day to have a look around. Not only did I find great gifts, I also found cards to complete the gifts – and a little something for me, of course.

Inside Maraluna, Reduce & Reuse Refillery has a section where you can find so many of their sustainable items as well as refill containers with shampoo, conditioner, lotion, dish soap, etc. I have had my eye out for brown mascara and found it in the RRR section of Maraluna. It’s fantastic and definitely gives a little softer look for everyday compared to my usual black mascara.

My First Visit to Rabbit Hole Books

I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to visit Rabbit Hole Books! It’s an absolutely perfect bookshop with tons of books, all for $1 each. They also have tons of gift items, like cards, unique bookmarks, jewelry, toys, games, and more. I bought a few gifts for friends and family and a few Pride items to get ready for Dayton Pride!

Reduce & Reuse Refillery Haul

As someone who doesn’t do well with remembering anything at all, I am VERY impressed with myself for 1. Cleaning all my refill bottles and 2. Remembering to actually bring them to Reduce & Reuse Refillery.

I refilled shampoo, conditioner, tooth tabs, and deodorant. I also bought the black version of the Elate mascara I got at Maraluna because I love the formula so much. Plus, the AWSB soap bars are always great – this one is floral and earthy.

Riley Street Merchant Necklace at Hilton Garden Inn Gift Shop

When some friends and I went exploring all around downtown, we stopped at Hilton Garden Inn’s Garden Grille for a snack and a drink. On our way back downstairs, we noticed they had their gift shop set up and they have a few local makers represented like Riley Street Merchants!

This retail location has the hex shape to mimic the hex tiles throughout the Arcade.

Cozy Sweatshirt at Base Camp

I’ve had my eye on this cozy purple sweatshirt from Base Camp and now it’s mine. I love their branding and colors! While we were there, a friend bought a headlamp that he said is much more lightweight than others he’s had. They have so many great things here.
