The day of my biggest craft show ever started crazy early – 4:30 am to be exact (well, not exactly sure since I hit the snooze quite a few times). I drank my coffee, packed my car, and fed my very confused dog before heading to pick up my mom and then start our very early journey to Columbus for Made Local Marketplace. The event was so amazingly huge – and somehow so incredibly organized. I had thought it would be big, but seriously, there were two floors of vendors and very little room to move because so many people showed up for it. I loved that so many people came out just to shop! These are my people…
I enjoyed shopping there, myself (thank you Mom & Beth for watching my table!). Check out my haul (and before you judge me, I was sitting right across from a nail polish vendor – I’m surprised I didn’t take out a loan) : [featuring JRJ Nail Polish, CWC Candles, Brady Bands, Glitteracy print, Red Giraffe Designs Jewelry, B. Radley earrings, and Little Arrow Co. head bows]
After a very long day of selling hair ties and chugging coffee, my mom, sister (who drove up a little later), and I packed my car and headed to Northstar (because in my exhaustion, I forgot to find out more restaurants in Columbus and I always go to Northstar – their food is amazing).
We took the 5 step walk to Jeni’s next door and enjoyed some delicious ice cream. I took a moment to write a message to Jeni’s to hopefully get them to consider opening a location in Dayton. I mean it would make my life better, I know it would.
My sister spotted The Laughing Ogre comic book shop across the street so we stopped in. After looking at all of their awesome stuff, it was time to hit the road again.
I didn’t get back to Dayton for a long time and I still managed to unpack the car before collapsing on the couch with a cold beverage and Netflix. Will I attempt another Columbus craft show knowing what I know now? Absolutely! I just might try to go to bed at 8:30pm the night before this time…
