I’m Judging the Great Dayton Cake Off!

On Saturday, August 2, 2025, I’ll be joining a panel of judges for the Great Dayton Cake Off. It’s part of the Art in the City event hosted by the Downtown Dayton Partnership.

What’s Art in the City?

During Art in the City, the streets of Downtown Dayton will be filled with artists of all kinds showcasing their talent. There will be live performances, demonstrations, displays, bazaars, and a family zone with activities for kids.

What’s New?

This year for the first time, Art in the City will feature a block party on St. Clair Street featuring a Chalk Walk with artwork on the ground created by chalk artists.

Also new this year is The Great Dayton Cake Off where Dayton bakers will display their edible artwork. You can view the cakes and vote on your favorite! The winner will be crowned Dayton’s Best Cake Artist. I’ll be helping to judge this exciting new contest and I can’t wait!

The Great Dayton Cake Off will be at the Schuster Center with cakes on display from 1-7 p.m. The winner will be announced and awarded the evening of August 2 in the Schuster Center Wintergarden.
