I recently had the opportunity to visit Scene75 for a fun night out and jumped at the chance to revisit this lively indoor entertainment destination.

The Place

Super Bike games at Scene75 Dayton

Scene75 was always big and full of attractions, games, and more – but since being renovated, it’s now enormous. They added so much more to the space. If it’s been a while since you visited, or if it’s your first time, take a lap to see it all before settling in.

You walk in and get your passes at the front desk, then you could grab a bite to eat at the restaurant to your right or keep walking toward the bar in the center if you’re thirsty.

Toward the back, you’ll find go karts and a 4D theatre (more on that later). Turning left, you’ll find more games and the addition, which has more attractions and even more games.

The Attractions

Attractions at Scene75 Dayton

The list of attractions at Scene75 Dayton has grown over the years. In no particular order, they have go karts, mini-bowling, two mini-golf courses, a 4D theatre, laser tag, baseball simulator, rollercoaster, drop tower, two-level carousel, bumper cars, and sand volleyball outside.

Using the attractions and games is easy – just swipe your card you received at the front desk and enjoy. The little screens on the card readers will let you know what you have left on your card as you go.

One of my favorite attractions since the beginning has been the 4D theatre. Someone chooses the ride (the Great Wall is the best!) and you watch it seated in seats that move all around (which is why you wear a seatbelt). You use 3D glasses and air rushes past you like you’re really there in the action.

Mini-bowling is fun because it moves a lot faster than traditional bowling. The pins are on strings and the lanes are shorter so your ball returns faster. Not to brag, but I got a strike on my first roll! (The other frames weren’t strikes unfortunately…)

The Games

Me playing an Alien game at Scene75 Dayton

Normally for me to love an arcade, there has to be ski ball, and Scene75 has a whole row of ski ball. They also have a ton of great larger-than-normal games that feel like you’re there. There are several basketball games and even a football game.

I know I missed some I would have loved to play, there’s just so much to do here, it’s hard to get to it all.

Tips to Make the Most of a Date Night in Dayton at Scene75

  • If you love bar and grill-style menus, you’ll find plenty to enjoy at Scene75 like burgers, pizza, mozzarella sticks, wings, and more. The restaurant menu doesn’t really have anything in the way of vegan items, so if you’re vegan or plant-based, you’ll want to dine elsewhere before you get there. If you want to eat nearby, I highly recommend Nanyea Cafe!
  • The bar at Scene75 features a special cocktail menu – I tried the Mermaid Lemonade and loved it!

  • They also offer plenty of beers on tap including some craft beers.
  • There are two photo booths to make sure you can commemorate your date with a fun keepsake.
  • Two-player arcade games are a great way to see how well you and your partner work together to solve problems (you know, like alien invasions or zombie attacks, etc.).

The History

Addition added to Scene75 Dayton

Scene75 is now a chain of indoor entertainment centers but it all started at this location in Vandalia/Butler Township in 2012. The Memorial Day tornadoes in 2019 did a number on this place, and paired with Covid-19, it was shuttered for quite some time. But rather than fold up, they expanded and added more attractions, games, and a banquet center.

It’s great to see Scene75 emerge from a chaotic start to the 2020s bigger and brighter. I have a lot of fond memories of spending time here in the 2010s with family and friends and look forward to making many more. Plus, it makes for a seriously fun date night!
