Despite having a December birthday, winter isn’t my favorite. I mostly bundle up and try to get through it. But with these ideas, I might just venture out after all.

See the Lights

This is the time of year having astigmatism or nearsightedness really pays off. The lights are even more sparkly for those of us who need corrective lenses. (I hear all of you who can see perfectly fine for free enjoy it, too!) Here are the lights I’m hoping to check out:

Carillon Park Tree

Clifton Mill

Woodland Lights

The Unicorns of Belmont

Holiday Lights on Wonderly

Art Experiences

I’ve always thought that grey, overcast days like in winter are the best days for visiting art museums and galleries.

Dayton Art Institute

Edward A. Dixon Gallery

The Contemporary Dayton

The Blue House

Wide view of people enjoying an exhibit at Dayton Art Institute

Breakfast Out

I just about never go out to breakfast or brunch anymore and I think this might be the season to change that. Here are the places that serve breakfast or brunch either regularly or occasionally that I’d love to check out:

The Ugly Duckling

Culture

Sunrise Cafe

The Local 937
