It happens every year – I start looking forward to summer the second we hit fall but when it finally arrives, I don’t intentionally take the time to enjoy every bit of it like I should. So this year, I’m making a list of things I want to make sure to do before summer kicks the bucket.
Visit a Lavender Farm
It’s absolutely wild to me that we have lavender farms we can just…visit. I’m going to live my best French fantasy at these local lavender farms this summer:
Cedar Ridge (Miamisburg)
They host U-Pick events throughout the season as well as yoga, workshops, and retreats.
Sunset Ridge (Enon)
With a big purple barn, this farm has U-Pick events, yoga, and you can even book a photography session.
Go to a Dragons Game
Nothing feels more summery than baseball, so a Dragons game is a must. I love that they offer vegan and vegetarian options. And no trip to Day Air Ballpark is complete without a stop at the (air-conditioned) gift shop.
Enjoy More Patios
I absolutely love grabbing a drink out on a patio – it just hits different. There are too many great Dayton patios to choose from but here are a few of my favorites:
We recently all collaborated on some great ideas for patios in Dayton worth visiting or revisiting. Check out my story highlights on Instagram for the full list.
Get Plenty of Pool Time
Of course, no summer would be complete without some time at the pool. I’ll be doing some serious summer reading at my apartment pool. If you don’t happen to have shimmering blue water steps from your front door, check out these great pools you can join around town.
