What do Elle Woods, Lily Aldrin, and Phoebe Buffay have in common? They all get cozy in robes designed right here in Dayton!

Aegean Apparel got their start designing sleepwear in 1991 and with their eye for style, it’s easy to see why we keep snoozing in their cozy PJs.

This family-owned business has grown and adapted in an ever-changing industry and is sold in some of the largest retailers in the country such as TargetDillard’sJC PennySaks Fifth AvenueNordstrom, and Von Maur, to name a few.

In fact, there’s a good chance you have a set of pajamas from Aegean in your closet right now that you didn’t realize was designed locally.

I had to know what a day in the life of two busy Dayton ladies working in the fashion industry entails so I reached out to Hillary and Naile of Aegean to get their first-hand account:

7:30 a.m.: Swing by Press pick up coffee for the team.

8:30 a.m. – Noon: Photoshoot with models to polish up Aegeanstore.com

Noon: Run down to Brown for lunch at Fusian. Double avocado!

1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. (Design meeting): Review new trends, styles already trending, what performed last season, what did not. Throw together vision board. Summer 2016 conception begins!

5:00 p.m.: Flight to NYC to get our showroom presentation-ready!

7:30 p.m.: Prep samples for appointments with Lord and TaylorNordstrom, and Von Maur.

9:00 p.m.: Late dinner and drinks with packaging artist Laura Rossenbaum to discuss future concepts and ideas.

11:00 pm: Check in to hotel and pass out immediately – after changing into Aegean Apparel PJs, of course!
