March makes me think of green everything and this month, I had a ton of green food! Here are some of my favorite meals in Dayton this month:
Breakfast and Lunch at ReU Juicery
I spent a morning and afternoon in Troy one day in March and had the chance to enjoy breakfast and lunch at ReU Juicery.
I had a green smoothie (+ added strawberry) for breakfast and for lunch I had my favorite Con Queso Bowl with a Refresh juice.
Far Out Caesar Salad at Indigo at The Silos
As a fan of Ordinaire Fare deliveries back a few years ago, I was excited to try Indigo at The Silos. I wanted to order most of the menu but decided on the salad with tofu. I absolutely loved it and can’t wait to go back and try more great items from Indigo’s menu! (If you’re vegan, make sure to ask and/or read the menu carefully – Ordinaire Fare was totally plant-based but Indigo is not. They offer tofu substitutions for many items, too.)
Seitan Gyro at Lucky’s
This meal is my go-to at Lucky’s: Seitan gyro (made vegan) with garlic green beans. Because so many of my friends are vegetarian or vegan, we end up at Lucky’s a lot when we go out. I wrote an article about it, actually. Also, if you are going on a date, these green beans might not be the best choice – the garlic is intense and stays with you. I happen to love that, though!
Roasted Beet Salad at Bistecca
I had a chance to check out Bistecca before it officially opened and this salad was delicious. I am a sucker for anything with beets and really enjoyed it. It comes with ricotta, but I asked for no cheese. Read all about my visit to Bistecca.
