It was definitely a dark, cold month but February had some very yummy meals from Dayton restaurants (even if I forgot to take some photos…).
Valentine’s Dinner at El Meson
For Valentine’s dinner, I ordered my usual Gallo Pinto and a Paloma cocktail from El Meson.
Vegan Veggie Feast at Old Scratch
On one visit to Old Scratch, I had a Greek(ish) Salad (I think I added chickpeas) and the Brussels sprouts veggie special both made vegan. I’ve been cooking at home so much this month that it felt amazing to eat all these veggies without having to chop any myself! The Brussels sprouts aren’t available now but always keep an eye out for veggie specials – it might be something you can make vegan.
I paired all this with a red sangria. Check out my favorite sangrias in Dayton.
Falafel Wrap at Canal Street Arcade & Deli
For Galentine’s, I met up with several amazing ladies at Canal Street Arcade & Deli and had too much fun to take many photos. We sat all together on the stage so we all basically ate on our laps, which makes photography too risky. I wasn’t taking any chances – the falafel wrap (minus feta) at Canal Street is even better than the delicious ghost meat in Ms. Pac Man (which is free to play there).
